MEET OUR PASTORS

PASTOR PHIL BRAY
Phil Bray was called to lead and shepherd the MaconFBC church family in October 2011.  At MaconFBC, he is responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, pastoral training, vision and leadership, missions and general oversight of congregational ministries. He and his wife, Stephanie, met and married while students at Hannibal LaGrange University where Phil received a B.A. in Bible in 1999. He continued his studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry (2005) and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching (2010).  He graduated in December 2019 with a Ph.D. in Preaching at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  Phil served as adjunct professor in the Christian Administration, Preaching and Philosophy of Ministry at HLGU from 2014-2022. Phil and Stephanie have 8 children and 2 grandchildren of who they are immensely proud and grateful for. Phil is an avid COLTS fan and enjoys watching his children play football, basketball, and baseball.  Pastor Phil and the other pastors feature new podcasts each week on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Youtube.

PASTOR CHRISTOPHER STONER
Chris oversees our student ministries from children to college age. Chris is dedicated to seeing the next generation see, worship, and enjoy Christ. He also serves as our online editor where he manages all of our online content. Chris graduated from HLGU in 2023 and is currently enrolled at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing his M.Div. He is married to Lexie and they have two children. Chris joins our pastors in weekly podcasts including one with Pastor Phil, "FOLLOWING" on Spotify, Apple or Amazon Music and the Bible Reading podcast, “THE PILGRIM’S WAY”.

PASTOR ANDY BROWN
Andy Brown is a lay pastor at MaconFBC and shepherds all Sunday School small groups as well as coordinating Kid City each Sunday morning for small children. Andy is a finance professional during the day but enjoys preaching, teaching and helping people navigate life from a Biblical worldview.  Andy is married to Mallory and they have three children - Gavin, Adelynn and Weston.

PASTOR DOUG IRWIN
Pastor Doug oversees adult education, discipleship, evangelism, and missions. He and his family returned to Macon in 2025 after eight years of mission and church-planting work in France. He is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and is completing his M.Div. at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Doug and his wife, Emilee, enjoy encouraging the next generation of pastors, missionaries, and church planters, and they also enjoy playing music together. Doug and Emilee have two children, Graham and Maeve, as well as a daughter-in-law, Aubrie.

MEET OUR STAFF

PATTY DILL - DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & COMMUNICATIONS
Patty Dill is a musician at heart, yet also loves graphic design and working with numbers.  She works as the Communications Director at MaconFBC and also manages Finances.  Patty is married to Kyle who also serves as a Sound Tech on Sundays and teaches small groups. Patty plays piano and serves on the Praise Team each Sunday. Patty has worked at MaconFBC for 24 years and loves working and serving at MaconFBC.

JAN ORBIN - MINISTRY ASSISTANT
​Jan started working at MaconFBC in 1994 as the only full-time office staff personnel. In her 30 years of employment, she has seen a lot of changes take place both in staffing and the church as a whole.  Jan is the Ministry Assistant to the Lead Pastor and Student Minister as well as helping the Pastoral Apprentices. Jan is married to Danny and they have 3 grown sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 5 grandchildren.

SARAH MARSHALL - MINISTRY ASSISTANT
Sarah began her journey on staff at MaconFBC as the assistant to the Music and Youth Pastors in 2004 juggling the many tasks of both ministries.  She now handles the administrative tasks of the office as well as the many moving parts of the music ministry. Sarah is married to Tim and has four grown children and 15 grandchildren. EMAIL [email protected]

DANNY ORBIN - FACILITIES MANAGER
Danny oversees the MaconFBC campus grounds and buildings maintenance.  He’s also a retired lineman from Macon Electric Cooperative of 40 years and enjoy fly fishing, his antique Model A and spending time with his family! He’s a long-time member of MaconFBC and is married to Jan.  They have 3 grown sons and 5 grandchildren.

CHARLIE FALKINER - CUSTODIAN
Or debris eradication engineer as one of the pastors likes to call him. Charlie covers thousands of square feet each week maintaining the upkeep of our main building at 302 N Rutherford. Charlie also serves as a Sound Tech on Sundays. Charlie is married to Tina and they have 2 kids and one grandson.
