DR. PHIL BRAY Lead Pastor
Pastor Phil Bray accepted the call as Lead Pastor at MaconFBC in September, 2011. He graduated from Hannibal LaGrange University in 1999 with a B.A. in Bible and from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2005 with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry and in 2010 with a D.Min in Expository Preaching. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Preaching at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Pastor Phil met and married his wife Stephanie while attending Hannibal LaGrange University. They have seven wonderful kids, Ethan, Seth, Genesis, Jonathan, Jericho, Jubilee, and Josiah. JOHN SNIDER Administrative/Worship Pastor
Pastor John joined our staff in October 1999. He came to MaconFBC from First Baptist Church in Shelbina, Missouri and graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist College in 1985, with a bachelor degree of Music Vocal Performance. He uses his theater experience and talents in writing and directing the MaconFBC Christmas production each year. In addition, Pastor John is also the Administrative Pastor. He is married to Michele and they have one daughter, Maysie.
SAM OWENS Associate Pastor
Pastor Sam came to MaconFBC in March 2012. He and his wife, Susan, have three daughters - Ashley, Jessica, and Natalie Ann. Pastor Sam has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Regent College in Albany, NY and a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He loves to read and spend time with his family.
Next Generation Leadership Pastor
Pastor Christian came to MaconFBC in December 2011. He graduated from Hannibal LaGrange University in May of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible. While attending HLGU and afterwards, Christian served 5 years under Pastor Jeff Brown as the Student Pastor at Prince Avenue Baptist Church in Hannibal, MO. August 2007, Christian began work on a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He volunteered at Carlise Avenue Baptist Church and worked with the student pastor for one year. Christian and his wife, Stephanie, returned to Missouri in December 2008 to accept the position of Associate Pastor to Students at Fellowship Baptist Church. God has blessed Christian and Stephanie with three beautiful daughters, Shaylee Jean, Makynlee Jane and Brynnlee Cait.
CLARK DOBBS Senior Adult Pastor
Clark Dobbs retired from 30 years of teaching in the public school system and joined MaconFBC as the Senior Adult Pastor in June of 1996. He holds a bachelors degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a masters from University of Mississippi. Clark is married to Carolyn. They have one son, John. He and his family make their home in Minnesota.
Ministry Assistant to the Lead Pastor
Jan has faithfully served MaconFBC for many years from a young girl having grown up in Macon First Baptist Church to now working alongside as the assistant to both the Lead Pastor and Associate Pastor. She came on staff in 1996 and is the very valued "historian" wearing many hats. Jan is married to Danny Orbin and they have three grown boys.
Director of Communications & Finance
Patty began serving at MaconFBC in 2000 handling the accounting yet also serving on the Worship Team. She later started the Communications ministry maintaining the website and other video and graphic works. She's a musician at heart and loves serving the Lord in the two combined positions both technically and creatively. Patty is married to Kyle Dill.

Ministry Assistant to the Worship/Admin. Pastor
Sarah began her journey on staff at MaconFBC as the assistant to the Music and Youth Pastors in 2004 juggling the many tasks of both ministries. She now handles the administrative tasks of the office as well as the many moving parts of the music ministry. Sarah loves her family and has four grown children and 15 grandchildren.
Russell or "Russ" as most everyone calls him has proven to be a most valuable person on our staff as the building superintendent. Russ served as the project manager and general contractor in the construction of the most recent new structure in 2004. Russ is retired from Missouri Dept. of Transportation and is married to Linda. They have three daughters and two grandchildren.
Or, debris eradication engineer as one of the pastor likes to call him, Charlie covers thousands of square feet each week maintaining the building at 302 N Rutherford. Charlie also serves in technical advisement for the staff and serves as a sound tech on the Worship team.
