MEET OUR PASTORS

PASTOR PHIL BRAY
Phil Bray was called to lead and shepherd the MaconFBC church family in October 2011.  At MaconFBC, he is responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, pastoral training, vision and leadership, missions and general oversight of congregational ministries. He and his wife, Stephanie, met and married while students at Hannibal LaGrange University where Phil received a B.A. in Bible in 1999. He continued his studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary earning a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry (2005) and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching (2010).  He graduated in December 2019 with a Ph.D. in Preaching at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  Phil served as adjunct professor in the Christian Administration, Preaching and Philosophy of Ministry at HLGU from 2014-2022. Phil and Stephanie have 8 children and 2 grandchildren of who they are immensely proud and grateful for. Phil is an avid COLTS fan and enjoys watching his children play football, basketball, and baseball.  Pastor Phil and the other pastors feature new podcasts each week on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Youtube.

PASTOR CHRISTOPHER STONER
Chris oversees our student ministries from children to college age. Chris is dedicated to seeing the next generation see, worship, and enjoy Christ. He also serves as our online editor where he manages all of our online content. Chris graduated from HLGU in 2023 and is currently enrolled at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing his M.Div. He is married to Lexie and they have two children. Chris joins our pastors in weekly podcasts including one with Pastor Phil, "FOLLOWING" on Spotify, Apple or Amazon Music and the Bible Reading podcast, “THE PILGRIM’S WAY”.

PASTOR ANDY BROWN
Andy Brown is a lay pastor at MaconFBC and shepherds all Sunday School small groups as well as coordinating Kid City each Sunday morning for small children. Andy is a finance professional during the day but enjoys preaching, teaching and helping people navigate life from a Biblical worldview.  Andy is married to Mallory and they have three children - Gavin, Adelynn and Weston.

PASTOR DOUG IRWIN
Pastor Doug oversees adult education, discipleship, evangelism, and missions. He and his family returned to Macon in 2025 after eight years of mission and church-planting work in France. He is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and is completing his M.Div. at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Doug and his wife, Emilee, enjoy encouraging the next generation of pastors, missionaries, and church planters, and they also enjoy playing music together. Doug and Emilee have two children, Graham and Maeve, as well as a daughter-in-law, Aubrie.

PATTY DILL - DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & COMMUNICATIONS
Patty Dill has faithfully served MaconFBC since 2000, bringing dedication, creativity, and a servant’s heart to every role she fills. She oversees the church’s finances with care and integrity, while also directing communications and marketing to help share the church’s mission clearly and effectively. Patty has a deep love for worship ministry. She has long served in the worship ministry and is a gifted piano and keyboard player, using her musical talents to support meaningful, Christ-centered worship. Her many years of service reflect her commitment to excellence, faithfulness, and a genuine love for the church and its people.

JAN ORBIN - MINISTRY ASSISTANT
​Jan has faithfully served MaconFBC since 1994 as the administrative assistant to our pastors. Having grown up in this church, she brings a deep love for the congregation and a strong sense of commitment to everything she does. In her role, Jan manages the many moving parts of church administration with skill, patience, and grace. More than handling details and schedules, she serves with a genuine love for Christ and a sincere desire to help others succeed in their roles within the church. Her steady presence, caring spirit, and heart for ministry make her an invaluable part of the MaconFBC family.

SARAH MARSHALL - MINISTRY ASSISTANT
Sarah began serving on staff at MaconFBC as a Youth and Music Ministry Assistant and has continued to grow in her role while faithfully serving our students and children. Her heart for kids is evident in the time, creativity, and care she brings to every ministry she supports.Known for her creative skills and love of crafts, Sarah especially enjoys “engineering” VBS décor and helping transform spaces to make ministry engaging and fun for kids. She also plays an important role in BOLT, our Wednesday afterschool kids’ event, helping ensure each week is welcoming and ready for learning and fellowship. Sarah is married to Tim and has four grown children and 15 grandchildren. DANNY ORBIN - FACILITIES MANAGER
Danny serves as the Facilities Manager at MaconFBC, overseeing the care and maintenance of the church campus, including the buildings and surrounding grounds. He works diligently to ensure the facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for all who gather here.Before joining the MaconFBC staff, Danny retired after 40 years as a lineman with Macon Electric Cooperative, bringing a lifetime of experience, dependability, and problem-solving skills to his role. Danny enjoys fly fishing, working on his antique Model A, and spending quality time with his family. He’s a long-time member of MaconFBC and is married to Jan.  They have 3 grown sons and 5 grandchildren.

CHARLIE FALKINER - SOUND & SETUP TECHNICIAN
Charlie has been a valued part of MaconFBC for many years - first as a custodian and now as our Sound & Setup Technician. In this role, he is the sole audio technician and responsible for maintaining audio equipment while also setting up spaces for worship services and events ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Charlie is married to Tina and they have 2 kids and 2 grandchildren.
